Supporting the handling of Covid-19, Pindad handed over food aid and mask to the community

PT Pindad (Persero) handed over assistance as a social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) in the form of 117 food packages intended for residents of Sukapura Vilage who were exposed to Covid-19 virus.

The assistance was symbolically given by the Chief of Administration and Finance officer of Pindad Wildan Arief, Chief of Business Strategy officer of Pindad Syaifuddin, and Corporate Secretary Krisna Cahyadianus to the Head of Sukapura Village Melinasari at Pindad office, Wednesday, June 23, 2021. This event was also witnessed by representatives of Babinsa and the local Police.

In addition to basic necessities, Pindad provided assistance in the form of health products such as vitamins, hand sanitizers and 100 boxes of masks to the community in Sukapura Village as an anticipation of the spread of Covid-19 virus. This assistance is also a form of Pindad’s contribution to residents around the company to be able to suppress positive number of Covid-19.

Meanwhile, the Head of Sukapura Village Melinasari said that the spike, in the number of Covid-19 cases in his area was assumed to be the result of community mobility which could not be suppressed after the Eid holiday. He admits that a number of efforts have been made to break the chain as much as possible.

“Currently, the number of people exposed to Covid-19 is Sukapura Village has been confirmed as many as 122 residents. I would like to say thank you to Pindad for continuously providing and responding to any problems that occur in our region. The residents have been greatly helped, especially the food packages, which are very helpful in the midst of economic difficulties in 14 days of self-isolation,” she said.
