PT Pindad (Persero) at Indonesian Army Weaponry System Exhibition
Commemorating the 68th Anniversary of Indonesian National Armed Forces, held the weaponry system exhibition at National Museum (Monas) on October 3rd-8th 2013. This exhibition was held by Indonesian Army and directly opened by Army Chief of Staff, General Budiman on October 4th 2013 and attended by Commander of the Armed Forces General Moeldoko, Vice of Army Chief of Staff Muhammad Munir, former Army Chief of Staff Pramono Edhie Wibowo, Head of 1st Commission of Indonesian House of Representative Mahfudz Siddiq, Vice Governor of DKI Jakarta Basuki Tjahja Poernama (Ahok), and some of high level officers of Indoensian Army. Meanwhile, PT Pindad (Persero) was represented by Director of Planning and Development, Wahyu Utomo.
On his speech, General Budiman said that this exhibition was held beside to give information to the society about weaponry system power that owned by Indonesian Army, but also to give a statement that Indonesian Army was ready to get involved on each operation to defend the sovereignty of Republic of Indonesia from land section.
Specifically, this exhibition was held in order to create a closeness between Indonesian Army and society, because the closeness that well created would make an undefeated power. The power of defence and security that society-based would be one of great grip beside of technology advancement.
About 200 units of defence and security equipments of domestic and foreign industries, and the result of Indonesian Army research and development department, were displayed on this exhibition. According to Army Chief of Staff, for the next four years, Indonesian Army would be completed its defence equipment with the leading products from various sectors, such as weapons until special vehicles. PT Pindad (Persero) were displayed some weaponry equipments which produced by them such as weapon and ammunition, special vehicle, and research and development products.
Some products which displayed by PT Pindad (Persero), were : Weapon and Ammunition products such as SS1-V1 Marinize, SS2-V1, SS2-V4, SS2-V5, SPR-2, SPR-3, SM2, SM3, G2 Combat and Elite series, PM2-V1, PM2-V2, 7,62 Dooper, MO1 CO 60 mm, MO2 LR 60 mm, MO3 80 mm, Silent Mortir (SM-50), and Ammunition mock up; Special Vehicle products such as Anoa Panser 6x6 and Komodo Tactical Vehicle mock ups; and Research and Development product, Defence Rocket 122 (Rhan 122).
PT Pindad (Persero) participation on Indonesian Army weaponry system exhibition was a form of full support to Indonesian Army as one of the leading defence industry in Indonesia. Hopefully, this good cooperation between PT Pindad (Persero) would be got better at the future. (Anggia)
