Penyerahan Perlengkapan Linmas oleh Direktur Utama Pindad
As a company that its activities close with the community, PT Pindad (Persero) was showing its care towards the communities that live around the factory. Took place at the Sukapura sub-district office, on August 29th 2014, PT Pindad (Persero) CEO Sudirman Said was submitted uniforms for Perlindungan Masyarakat (Community Protection) or Linmas from Sukapura sub district.
The aid submission towards the communities around PT Pindad was not the first time being conducted, Before, PT Pindad was supporting the culinary night along Gatot Subroto street which was a program from Bandung Mayor. On that event, there was Anoa 6x6 Combat Vehicle that positioned to get an attention that Indonesia could produce military products and one of them is the combat vehicle which currently used by the peace keeping forces of United Nation at Lebanon.
This event was a done in order to form a good relationship between company any communities around the factory. As known, industrial area of PT Pindad located in kelurahan Sukapura, Kiara Condong district which has an area of 66 hectares. Most of the employees of PT. Pindad is derived from the Sukapura sub-district and Kiara Condong district.
If you look at revolver handgun, or SS1 and SS2 rifle that often carried by our soldiers when they marched or Anoa which currently supporting the peace keeping forces of United Nation at Libanon and Sudan were products from Sukapura sub-district. Military products from Sukapura sub-district become brand of Indonesia, become a nation pride. Explained by the CEO, Sudirman Said. He was showing his prode that products that produced by the company that he lead is located at Sukapura sub-district.
With this aid submission, hopefully the protection towards the communities could be increased. Moreover, Indonesia is now facing the threat of the ISIS network which began to spread. The modernization of the company also would demand extra effort from security sector. Therefore, it was hoped the members of the Linmas as the leading security guard communities in the region could improve alertness and security as well as maintain good communication with the Pindad security so that the security performance would be more maximum.
