“Komodo”, The Name of PT. Pindad (Persero) Tactical Vehicle
Coincide with the Patriot Day, PT. Pindad (Persero) latest tactical vehicle, officially named “Komodo”. The name was given by the President of Republic Indonesia, DR. H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono when visited the biggest 3D defence industry in Southeast Asia, 2012 Indo Defence, Indo Aerospace, and Indo Marine, Saturday, November 10th.
President said, he really hoped that PT. Pindad tactical vehicle could be a great vehicle and could enduring any weather condition and field.
“Tactical vehicle which is made by Indonesian citizen, Insya Allah will be a great vehicle, can move in any weather condition, engaged in Indonesia combat field, I will give “Komodo” as the name of this vehicle” said the president.
After signed the official poster The President told us the reason why he name it “Komodo” . It is because Komodo is an endemic animal from Indonesia he also hope this tactical vehicle could bring the glory for Indonesia.
“Komodo is a mighty animal, and they live only in Indonesia. This vehicle will be a great tactical vehicle, can engaged in any combat field, and bring the victory and glory.”
After gave a name to Pindad tactical vehicle, accompanied by some ministers from the cabinet, President visited some of exhibition stands, including PT. Pindad to see the defence system products that being displayed.
2012 Indo Defence, Indo Aerospace, and Indo Marine is the biggest 3D defence industry exhibition in Southeast Asia that participated by 600 companies from 50 countries all over the world, and displayed the latest technology from defence and security system area. (Anggia Susada Mantarlia)
