PT Pindad at Latma Safkar Indopura 24/2012 Event
As one of producer of defence and security tools in Indonesia, PT Pindad (Persero) participated in Weaponry System Display and Practice Assistance Latma Safkar Indopura 24/2012, on November 21st 2012. The exhibition was a part of activities of Combat Practice between Indonesian Military with Singapore Army Forces which held on November 21st-28th 2012.
The event which took place in Cipatat Infantry Training Centre, started on November 21st and opened by an opening ceremony that attended by Indonesian Military and Singapore Army Forces soldiers. This ceremony was led by Vice Head Staff of Indonesian Military, General Lieutenant Budiman and Vice Head of Singapore Army Forces, General Brigade Tung Yui Fai. On a same day, held a weaponry system exhibition from Singapore Army Forces, Yonif 323 Raider, Yonif 201 Mekanis, and PT Pindad (Persero).
As the exhibition items, PT Pindad displaying some of their leading products, such as; Weapons, which consist of : SS1-V1, SS2-V1, SS2-V2, SS2-V4, and SS2-V5 assault rifles; G2 handguns, Elite and Combat type; MO1, MO2, and MO3 mortars; SM2 light machine guns; SPR-2 with its silencer and SPR-3 sniper rifles; and ammunitions mock up. Beside weapons and ammunitions products, PT Pindad brought their combat vehicle products; Anoa 2 Panser; a tactical vehicle which just had a new name, given by the President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, Komodo; and some of Panser mock ups.
After visited the exhibition booth, the group of Indonesian Military and Singapore Army Forces did a test-drive by using the combat vehicles. The combat vehicles that used are Anoa Panser which belonged to Indonesian Military and Terrex which belonged to Singapore Army Forces. They did the test-drive around the Cipatat Infantry Training Centre.
This event was held in order to know about the combat tools quality and know about the combat strategies from each countries. Beside that, the main purpose from this event is to maintain a good relationship between Indonesia and Singapore through the military sector. Meanwhile for PT Pindad, participated in this activity could strengthening PT Pindad existence as one of the main contributors for defence and security industry in Indonesia. (Anggia Susada Mantarlia)
