LIMA'09 EXIBITION (LANGKAWI INTERNATIONAL MARITIME AND AEROSPACE) 2009
For a week starting from 1st to 5th of December 2009, PT. Pindad along with PT. Dirgantara Indonesia and PT. Nusantara Turbine & Propulsion participated in the LIMA '09 Exhibition (Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace) 2009. The Exhibition took place in the Langkawi Island, State of Kedah Malaysia, which is adjacent to the Thai border. It took about one hour flight from Kuala Lumpur to Mahsurin International Airport at Langkawi.
Exhibition participants came from 24 countries. They are world class companies engaging in Aerospace, Maritime and Weapon Systems. There are also 10 countries provided the special pavilion for the exhibition of their products.
PT. Pindad strategically presented the miniatures of the Manufacturing Products from Special Vehicle Division i.e. Panser and Water Cannon; and related Weapons System products which is the Panser armaments i.e.: Automatic Grenade Launcher SPG-2, General Purpose Machine Gun SM-2, and SM-5.
Exhibition visitors are Guests of honour and Delegations from 38 countries and other Special Guests from 55 countries which have been invited to attend. On the last day, the exhibition is opened to general public.
LIMA ’09 Exhibition focused on the Aerospace and Maritime products, therefore Panser Pindad display was rather different from the theme. This diversity have been attracted the attention of most visitors. The exhibition of Panser Pindad 6x6 Anoa at LIMA ’09 have been targeted to sharpen and to assure the enthusiasm of Malaysian to acquire the Panser Pindad.
Taking part in LIMA '09 and other selected Exhibitions is very important for PT. Pindad (Persero) in familiarizing with the market and gaining market opportunity, keeping up-to-date information on world’s defence technology, gathering information in sourcing of material / component and equipment for PT. Pindad’ products, and opening opportunities to extend networking in establishing strategic partnerships.
